While the name "Homecoming" may lend itself to the belief that this epic event is exclusively aimed at alumni returning to their alma mater, it's equally special for Doane's current students!
Between the Student Programming Board, Greek Life, Division of Student Affairs, and many other campus partners, the week is filled with countless opportunities for our Tigers to celebrate Doane and its 151st year.

Monday, September 25th
- 4-7 p.m. // Decorating Perry Campus Center
Meet at the PCC Student Affairs pod.
Students are encouraged to assist in decorating windows, sidewalks, and more for Homecoming Week to show our Tiger Spirit!
Tuesday, September 26th
- 5:30 - 8 p.m. // Homecoming Kick-Off and (Student-designed!) T-shirt Giveaway
Cassel Outdoor Theatre - Students are all invited to celebrate the kick-off of Homecoming Week on campus! There will be a special performance from balloon artist and comedian John Cassidy, inflatables, prizes, an outdoor meal, an ice cream truck, and much more!
Wednesday, September 27th
- 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. // Employer Connections & Alumni Connections event
Perry Campus Center, Nyrop Hall
More than 35 employers will be on campus for students to visit with and learn more about. A few TBD Doane Alumni will also speak over the lunch hour. (Bring your own lunch)

Haddix Center
Students are encouraged to head to Haddix to enjoy student vs. employee basketball fun, giveaways, food, and more. FREE T-shirts for the first 100 guests. DON'T MISS THIS FUN EVENT! - 9 - 10:30 p.m. // Bonfire
Meet outside Haddix immediately following Hoopfest or in the Communications Parking Lot from 8:45 to 9:15.
Students are invited to head down to Tuxedo Park for a bonfire—complete with cider, s'mores, music, general Tiger pride, and potential surprises for the first 50 attendees! Rideshare is available via Doane Passenger vans from the Communications Parking Lot! (more information to come!)
Thursday, September 28th
- 8 - 11 p.m. // Country Party and Dance
Fuhrer Field House
Students are encouraged to head to the Field House to enjoy a mechanical bull, line and swing dance lessons, lasso contest, scooter barrel racing, food, and more!
Friday, September 29th
- 8 - 9:30 p.m. // Homecoming Pep Rally and Royalty Coronation
Haddix Center
General Tiger pride will be on full display! Featuring performances by the Doane Band and Doane Dance & Cheer, Student Organization Skit Competition, rousing speeches by Coach Bessler and the Tiger Football captains, introductions of the 2023 Homecoming Royalty Court (and subsequent Coronation of the Duke & Duchess), announcement of the 2023 Shield and Banner winners, announcement of the 2024 Relay for Life theme, free pizza, prizes, and so much more!
Saturday, September 30th
- 9 - 11 p.m. // Big Bucks Bingo
Lakeside
Students are welcome to come to Lakeside for a night of BINGO fun with many exciting prizes to be won! Cookies and Canes will be provided while supplies last.
Sunday, October 1st
- 3 p.m. // Annual Homecoming Concert featuring the Doane Choir and Doane Concert Band
