Through Doane University Alternative Breaks, students have the opportunity to travel and serve in communities around the nation. Students can apply for Alternative Breaks at the beginning of each semester, and students selected for the experience pay only a small deposit ($20 - $40) to attend the Alternative Break. All meals, lodging, transportation expenses are covered through donations from the Doane Board of Trustees and Student Congress.
Past Alternative Break locations include Galveston Texas, Denver Colorado, Rochester Minnesota, and a multi-city trip across the Civil Rights Trail.
