The mission of Institutional Research and Institutional Effectiveness is to provide information which support and strengthens Doane's Mission, operations management, decision making, and the institutional planning processes.

Institutional Research

Institutional Effectiveness

IR collects, archives and maintains data for the purpose of analyzing, distributing and presenting summary information.  This information is used to support the decision-making process, policy formation, and the planning needs of the University.  IR ensures integrity of data provided to governmental agencies and internal and external constituencies. IE analyzes data with regards to the University's overall operations, providing information to departments across campus to make improvements.  IE provides information and proposes alternative solutions to support the decision-making process.  IE works to improve academic program planning, institutional and program assessments, and accreditation.  
  • Admissions/Enrollment/Census Reports - headcount and FTE
  • Majors/Graduation Reports- Degrees Conferred, Rate
  • Common Data Set and Fact Book (available to Doane Gmail accounts only)
  • Submit data to Government/National Reporting - IPEDS, US News, Peterson's
  • Initiate, Distribute, Upload and/or Administer Nationally Normed Surveys - NSSE, Noel-Levitz SSI, ACHA-NCHA II, 
  • Create and Administer Internal surveys - Exit, Graduation
