Can I designate my gift?

Some faculty and staff may choose to give their gift to a specific fund or area of giving such as the Doane Scholarship Fund, other need-based scholarships, academic programs, athletics, fine arts or to support the Perkins Library.

Can I give my gift to more than one area?

Yes!  You can designate your gift to as many areas as you would like.

Do I have to give through payroll deduction?

No, you can give a one-time cash, check or credit card gift or a reoccurring credit card donation.  Click here for more information. 

How can I give?

Employees have various options to give their gift:  a one-time cash or check, one-time or reoccurring credit card gift or monthly payroll deduction.  Click here to select your giving option.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes, your gift is tax-deductible. 

What is the Doane Scholarship Fund?

The Doane Scholarship Fund is our annual giving program.  Gifts made to the Doane Scholarship Fund are used annually to support the college’s operations.  The Doane Scholarship Fund’s main area of support goes to students for financial aid, grants and scholarships, which helps keep Doane University accessible to everyone.  The Doane Scholarship Fund also supports areas such as; academic programs, interterm travel scholarships for students, our fine arts programs and maintaining Doane’s beautiful campus.  A gift to the Doane Scholarship Fund supports almost every aspect of Doane University.

Why did I not receive a receipt of my gift?

If you are giving through payroll deduction, you will receive a receipt at the end of the calendar year which will show your total payroll giving throughout the year to be used for tax purposes.  All other gift types will receive a gift receipt when the donation is made.
