Since the DIVAS project began in 2017, Scholars have worked on a variety of pair programming projects and independent research projects including:
- measuring root growth from time-lapsed images of maize seedlings
- tracking the course of a titration from a video and sending a notification when it has reached equilibrium
- detecting breaks in veterinary X-ray images
- detecting colorimetric reactions of root exudates with chemical indicators
- reading in a Sodoku puzzle from an image and solving it
- developing an image processing platform to detect chemotaxis
- developing a raspberry pi-based platform to image and measure growth of brome grass from K-12 inquiry-based curriculum
- automated counting of bacterial cells in a Petroff Hausser chamber
